Student feedback
well explained and pretty amazing
Easy to follow. Easy to understand. Easy to implement.
So far its seems like a great match for my skill level.
Hi folks.First, the pros: A course with useful content. Instructor's voice and accent are very pleasant to listen to. He is deeply into the topic and conveys information well. Sound quality of production is outstanding. Rock as the main genre used for demoing is to my personal taste. Fortunately not the usual EDM material ;) Listen to instructor's EP on YT for a hint on the kind of music you may expect.Next, the downsides: Sloppy editing (harsh cuts between subsequent videos, uncut clap marks), hundreds of students' questions unanswered by the instructor, typos in slides, technical errors (e.g. »TRRS« vs. »TRS« where »TRS« vs. »TS« would apply). Undecided concerning the audience: Sometimes basic while assuming previously untaught knowledge elsewhere. And, as I noticed now, 25+ hrs of mixing sessions out of 40+ hrs total running time. Maybe a little too much?Spoiler alert: The instructor is Rob Mayzes (commonly known as »Musician on a Mission«). I'm afraid, Rob is already deeply »into another mission« and doesn't care too much for this course since its release on Udemy. The aforementioned, highly recommended EP titled »Dust« is available on YT.To be honest: I haven't yet decided whether to keep it or have a refund. Still weighing against Tomas George's »Music Production in Logic Pro X - The Complete Course!«Cheers-ManfredUpdate: Black mouse pointer barely visible on dark gray background in vids (at least on my 15-inch UHD screen).Update: Starting with video no. 36, the voice-over is suddenly panned 100% left. Very annoying with headphones which I love to use for these kinds of tuts.Update: Snap settings (video no. 37) (along with concept of ticks etc.) would have needed more than just mentioning to be made use of. I'll have to refer to an additional resource (user manual?) .Update: In video no. 38, the right chanel of the voice-over is back again (for how long?).Update: After viewing the synthesiser lectures and skimming over some other sections which were all not that pleasing, I decided to give up.
